Sunday Roast With The Grahams

Forget Fashion week........ too busy! Funny this Feb I have had little interest in all the fuss. Heard Vivienne Westwood & Betty Jackson's Shows where great though. No revenue stream for us this time so no interest! Still in bits, we (well done Pumita) dragged ourselves out of bed to be picked up by Daniel heading for Redbourne to have lunch with Jane, Alistair, Maisie & the delightful Annie. Glad we did!!!!! So much fun with the Kids..... have to have spend more time out of the office with the team. HERTFORDSHIRE IS NT SO FAR AFTER ALL...XXXX

Carnival Party In Barons Court

After the funky Friday I was in bits. Too much Gavi De Gavi compliments of my Cousin Koya sent me spiralling home chaparoned by my fine Wife... Thanks You! Sunny Saturday was no good to me as I spent most of the day on the settee feeling very sorry for myself. Saw a great Rock Hudson & George Peppard WWII film called Tobruk which helped soften the pain. That eve we had been invited to a dear Friend's Fancy Dress Carnival Party in Baron's Court. Knackered but excited I am glad I mustered the energy to go. WOW we had so much fun; the outfits were outrages, the Caiparinhas were to die for and the company was awesome. What larks we had..... I went as Pele which the night became Roma's Julio Baptista (COME ON ARSENAL) due to my large frame! Does nt my wife look gorgeous!

Friday Night in The Village Inn & Double Club

With London Fashion Week starting with limp I was surprised to see so many people out and about. Went for quick drink with good Friends & genius Muscians Sacha Skarbek and Miguel Stanley and their merry music gang at the Village Inn to celebrate the finish of their 12 track album. Launching in Portugal and later in UK ....Hopefully will help with the marketing & launch party!Good luck mes amis.
After a couple of drinks I bounced on to new Congolese Restaurant and Bar- Double Club which is a Carsten Höller art project by Fondazione Prada & Guaranty Trust Bank, Nigeria. Located in an old Victorian warehouse just beside the Angel tube station, The Double Club opened on 21 November 2008, offering a unique approach to entertainment and hospitality, as well as creating a dialogue between Congolese and Western contemporary music, lifestyle, arts and design. Good work Mourad Of Momos. Awesome to see Simon & Robert RUNNING THINGS! Had a fabulous King Prawn, Halibut, Beef, Plantain & Talapia Dinner......mouthwateringly sumptuous! Love it Guys..... Great to chill with Koya, Abi, Francesca and Gbolly. See you soon x

The Mandarin Oriental & Molton House

There are certain perks of the job that not only have to be shared but are hard to turn down. One of the most special of these is the Dinner. We were treated by the Groups Executive and Groups Manger Kristin and Nadja ,respectively, to a tour of the Mandarin Hotel and a most sumptuos dinner in the Park Restaurant. Having eaten at the Michelin Star Foilage it was nice to try the culinary delights of this restaurant. I have nt been to Mandarin for a couple of years since when we used to organise the Conde Nast Xmas ( for 4 years in a row I may add) Party in the beautiful Ballroom. I almost forgot how sumptuous and easy on the eyes the bedrooms are as well. Great and unique rooms for conferences from 20-250. The Bar & Spa are to die for! As it was the night of the BRITS and I was NFI, the Mrs took me to the new Members Club Molton House near Bond Street for a few cocktails. Great to bump into some old Friends. Thanks for the drinks Andreas ( Mixologist Extrodinaire) , Davina & Irina..... see you soon x

Cool Venue Awards At Il Bottaccio

Tuesday night I was slightly hesitant in taking on an invitation to "The Cool Venues" Awards at Il Bottaccio. Could anything that had to call itself cool really be cool? Well I had to investigate further. My Wife & Colleagues were not convinced so I had to recruit a couple of trusted Friends to tag along with me. I must say I was very impressed with the Venue; save the lack of air due to the windows not being allowed to be opened next to Bucks House. This problem did nt last long though. Lots of Event Organisers were invited; most of them swearing things had never better..... don t think they realise that although the music is still playing, like the titanic, the ship is shrinking and sinking. Well there are only so many rafts and you ve got to know where they re located! Industry joke me thinks! But more grease to your elbow Wesley Mendy, Publisher & Editor of Prestige Events Guide Magazine who hosted the Awards. Loving your work! Great to see our Friends at St Mary's Axe won the venue architecture award. Still good to see people in the industry still smiling though..... Thanks Guys!

Sunday with my niece, the Royal Academy and Constantine I !

Sunday was a real gem as I got to spend some TLC time with my Niece. We decided to go to the Royal Academy Of Arts to check out the Byzantium Exhibition courtesy of Emperors Constantinos & Justinian. I still want to visit Turkey some day soon ....so much history and great food !! So much to read about!!! My favourite is the icon of Archangel Michael with his sword. Worth a visit if you re interested in jewels & history http://www.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibitions/byzantium/about

About Byzantium 330–1453
Highlighting the splendours of the Byzantine Empire, Byzantium 330–1453 comprises around 300 objects including icons, detached wall paintings, micro-mosaics, ivories, enamels plus gold and silver metalwork. Some of the works have never been displayed in public before.

The exhibition includes great works from the San Marco Treasury in Venice and rare items from collections across Europe, the USA, Russia, Ukraine and Egypt. The exhibition begins with the foundation of Constantinople in 330 AD by the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great and concludes with the capture of the city by the Ottoman forces of Mehmed II in 1453. This is the first major exhibition on Byzantine Art in the United Kingdom for 50 years
