A Soiree & Rock The Polo 2008

When the Sun's out UK is the best Country in the World. That 's a fact . Friday was spent at a splendiferous soiree of Canapes & Cava at my Friends Sacha & Eiril 's ( Of " You re beautiful" Fame ) Hse in North London. Great food , great service - thx Ossie , marvellous company & nice touch with the piano , guitars & songs we all enjoyed. Nothing like a sing along with friends at the end of a beautiful night before you head off to Bungalow 8 :-) Saturday was spent clearing out the shed - a job I have avoided for 8 years but thats to Mrs Epega is now done and dusted. Sunday - what can I say ? This year the Cartier Polo was a roaring success with the main game of Australia vs England resulting in the Aussies winning AGAIN. Chinawhite enclosure was brimming full of lovelies , colours , fashion , celebs & excellence . The Westbury put up a fine show too in their enclosure where Estefania , Solomon ,Marijka & I enjoyed a most sumptous lunch. Thanks to Ashley Shaw & Chef Andrew Shaw .This is a BIG THANKS to all our 180 Guests & Clients who came to this great event. They say a picture tells a 1000 stories -well here are 12 that could tell you 12,000. Long live the Polo

Jay Z ,Bungalow 8 & Farnborough Airshow

Friday night I went for a great Birthday Dinner at Hawksmoore Restaurant off Shoreditch ...WoW - The streaks are awesome there .Bloated took the crew to Bungalow 8 ...Buzzing . Jay Z was there with admirers & friends alike.Of course he looks bigger on TV but what a Guy - can t knock him - King Of The Slash/Slash/Slash generation & minted as well. Quite right too .....! Saturday was at 1st a blur but by the time we arrived at the Farnborough Airshow with the earpopping roar of engines that was soon blasted out. What an experience - the A380 looked safer than I previously presumed & much more agile. The Red Arrows were as tight and slick as ever;the stealth bombers as menacing or quiet as ever ; as VIP HOSPITALITY Guests we enjoyed - Thank you FIVE HOSPITALITY for all the love ,food & tour of Bae systems .Great to find out that the Wright Brothers were nt alone in their great success - they were helped by Paul Lawrence Dunbar ( An African American ) .....Yeah! Summising it was quite a Surreal experience: whilst being an Arms dealers paradise ( I sure £100s of millions of deals were handshaken in the week ) , it was also a great day out for the kids save the fumes . Funny what kind of Event one can throw with over £30 million pounds in your budget ...... :-)

Jewel In Crown Of Mayfair

Wow what a fine meal I enjoyed with my beau on Wednesday Night at The Artisan Restaurant .Excellent service , very fine wines & my Scallopps and Lamb were to die for. Simple , stylish & not at extortionate prices - thats the order of the year.
I really do recommend it- Keep winning Chef Andrew Jones .

Cheack it out - www.westburymayfair.com/artisan.html

Artisan is the ultimate destination in Mayfair. With its stunning interior, elegant design and sheer opulence. There is more than one reason to make a beeline for this restaurant. The menu is unpretentious but captures the true talent and passion of the Chef behind its creation. Modern European cuisine 'par excellence', with efficient and well-informed staff. All of which contribute to making it he perfect restaurant to indulge and entertain in.

The menu is uncomplicated and ingredient-driven, counter balancing the sophisticated style of the lavish restaurant, thus creating the perfect combination for the discerning dinner.

Off to Farnborough Air Show tomorrow ..... hope it does nt rain :-)

Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday

Wow what a week-end ! On Friday .....
"Our challenge as we build & extend democracy is to ensure that our young people know where we come from, what we have done to break the shackles of oppression & how we pursued the journey to freedom & dignity for all.
We will fail our youth if we leave them in ignorance of what has given them the opportunities they now enjoy." NELSON MANDELA

What an inspiration MADIBA is . Such youthful& vibrant words in his years of frailty . The only African to condemn the Despot during these mad days . Eddy Grant,Queen,Investec,Soweto Gospel Choir ,Kunle & Amy Winehouse - Thank you as well for a once in a lifetime experience. How does one top that ?
