Easter Week-end - Clapham , Nofit Tabu Circus & Shah Abbas

Wow........does nt the Easter fly. As soon as the week-end is over and then the sun comes out. Typical UK. Still love it though. Spent some wholesome time with my Family and Friends. Great club in Clapham called Aquum. Guys and Girls think this will be one for the Summer www.aquum.co.uk . Thanks for the drinks Chaps.

Saturday was a refreshing and inspirational day spent gardening with my Beau and her Sister ( Thanks Girls). In the evening Daniel , the Girls and I took a great Client and son to see the intiguing Nofit Tabu Circus www.roundhouse.org.uk/nofitstate/ . Just like a Smirnoff advert or a surreal dream. Not as good Cirque De Soleil but worth the watch!!!! Afterwards we had a great dinner at Gilgamesh in Camden.www.gilgameshbar.com . Not as good a Hakkasan but lots of good furniture and killer cocktails......

Took my niece to the British Museum to see the Iranian Exhibition of 16th Century Ruler Shah Abbas ...... WORTH A LOOK IN for those who enjoy History. http://www.britishmuseum.org/whats_on/all_current_exhibitions/shah_abbas.aspx Loved It !!!

Loire Valley For My Cousin's 40TH

On the week-end of the 4th April my beau and I were kindly invited to the Loire Valley, France by our cousin Koya for his 40th Birthday. Only 18 of us in the middle of the Loire. Fine wines, cheeses, gourmet dining and luxurious surroundings. Matt & Stephanie opened their beautiful Manoir to us. Dancing till late helped my diet but my constant eating did nt much. The real surprise was finding Leonardo De Vinci's tomb at the magnificent Castle in Amboise......what a revaltion.

We stayed at a most beautiful farmhouse near Hermitages on the way to Tours called La Boissiere www.laboissiere.eu/Index.aspx . Great place for Kids and cycling. Also awesome wines from Maison Arragon.

Good shout Koya ....what a charmed time xx

Merchant Archive - Treasure Trove In Queen's Park

One of the great things about having a Stylist for a Wife is you'll always be on the front edge of fashion and what's new. Thanks to the Mrs we went on to meet some of her Friends that run what I would say is London's best kept fashionista secret shop. I was interested in the Boutique Dinner Experience. If you're into Vintage Clothes, Jessica McComack, Zambesi or the next new designer before they go mainstream you must visit this shop. From Goldfrapp, Sienna & Savannah Miller, Vogue Writers to Fashion Stylists....they are all guilty of keeping this place a secret. Well news is out now!!!! Worth a visit Ladies & Gents show your girls you know Fashion :-)
About www.merchantarchive.com
Merchant Archive is a vintage and contemporary lifestyle shop which has grown from modest beginnings into a hub for stylists, fashion, interior designers and celebrities alike.

This inspirational space was once a Lipton general store, and much of the original decor remains, allowing beautiful vintage gowns to sit against an industrial backdrop.

Owner Sophie Merchant's love of the fine detailing and quality of yesteryear is apparent in the pieces she sources.

Her belief that vintage works best when paired with clean-lined modern pieces brings an unexpected contemporary edge (see stockists).

Garments are displayed on and around furniture and objets d'art which are also for sale, allowing the space to constantly evolve.

Tucked away in a corner of Queen's Park, Merchant Archive is a treasure to be found.

Brockman's Gin Bartenders Competition At Paramount

2 year ago we consulted on the Image and Branding of a new Gin Brand coming to market called www.brockmansgin.com sponsored by Class Magazine. Looks like the Guys took our advice to heart with their Bartender's competition at the Panoramic Viewed Paramount Club. Needed more Ladies and a better spokesman at the event but the Gin is very smooth and fine. Good luck guys but still have little way to go me thinks .....

From Kiev With Love

Last week as we were preparing for a Client Event on Thursday I got a call from my man in Kiev Alan P. It was to do with a presentation we had put together in January to a Ukrainian Oligach call Yuri on the subject of Events & Concierge in Kiev. They had had a luncheon and after 3 or 4 bottles of Vodka Yuri demanded to meet me. So I got the "CALL"...."Baba, we 're on- Yuri wants to meet you. Can we book you a flight for tomorrow am from Gatwick to Kiev to discuss our plans, face to face?" Mmmmm..... a Anglo-Ukrainian-Russian Axis in entertainment. Took me a New York minute to respond." "Pay my expenses and I 'm there, I reponded." One thing I ve learnt through the years is that if people are serious they'll put their money where their mouths are and you ve got to be ready to move. Friday am and I 'm on my way to the airport in a suit with brochures and a brain teeming with great designs and plans. Wow was I treated royally, VIP escort off the plan to terminal C; car waiting and zipped off to a superfly apartment hosted by my man Alan P. 14 Bars & Nightclubs, 4 restaurants, 3 churches,2 cafes and lots of loud music made up my 2 day tour of Kiev. The Danish/Ukrainian/Rusiian/English & Nigerian Magnificent 7 was a charmed group of extraordinary gentlemen I got to hang with. 72 hours later we have our plan to set up EMC3 Entertainment 1st in Ukrain then Russia. Always need a USP for such monster moves and we now have it!!!! 14 hours of sleep was needed on my return. This is the year of the Privateer!!! Bring it on!!! To top it all on the way back I was on the Flight with the Under 21 Ukrainian Football team - Come on England!!

Q Tip Concert At The Roundhouse 14.3.09

I must commend the £2 million facelift that has transformed the Roundhouse theatre into the awesome entertainment space it is now. My beau kindly bought my cousin & his girlfrind ( For his Birthday) and I tickets to see the devout Muslim Q Tip presented by Gilles Peterson in concert. 14 years he's been out of London. Jonathan Davis (born April 10, 1970), better known by his stage name Q-Tip, is an American hip hop artist, singer, and occasional actor from Queens, New York City, perhaps best known as part of the critically acclaimed group A Tribe Called Quest. There's no song like " After it all it was you" - Still sends tingles down my back. The atmosphere was electric and Q Tip's voice is God sent +

About Red Nose Day - 13.3.09

Well after the brainwave that is "Red Nose Day" I decided as an African that I too must play a part in giving to the great cause. Linking Biggie Smalls to this auspicious day gave us another chnace for nusic to drive a different kind of Guest to our Friday the 13th Party. 150 came through the door at Vendome and were treated to Champagne Belinis & Seabreezes. Although we had 180 of each they were depleted in a New York minute. Seems to always be the case with free drinks non? I just happy we raised £220 to the Red Nose cause....small you may say but selling noses at £2 eack was nt an easy task. I know I did it! As one prudent Egyptian financier once said,"Every penny counts". Great music from DJ Clown Prince and his merry crew. Lots more of these "Be inspired....Music nights to come". Friends and Clients made this a rockus night. I was nt too sure about the Clubs bouncers attitude though - always taints an evening if you have heavy handed staff :-(

Red Nose Day In Memory Of The Notorious B.I.G - PARTY TONIGHT 13.3.9

Red Nose Day is a day like no other! Britain gets involved in fundraising activities at schools, offices & homes across the land, mix it with the nation’s favourite celebrities getting up to all kinds of mischief, sprinkle a new Red Nose (or three!) across the entire UK and add a cracking night of comedy on BBC One to make Red Nose Day the phenomenon it is. All this funny business unites the nation in trying to make a difference to the lives of thousands of people – and the best thing is - it works!

In loving memory of Christopher George Latore Wallace's life (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), aka Biggie Smalls, come and join us from 8pm to hear Superstar DJ Leke spin legendary tunes from and inspired by B.I.G. & Co and complimentary cocktails & canapés inspired by Red Nose Day.

FREE ENTRY between 8pm- 10pm then the nightclub kicks in..

You will be able to make a contribution to Red Nose Day at the party.

Justinius The Great's 40th Birthday Party

Whilst the boys were throwing a great Party for in EA in Londinium I took flight to sunny Ruthin,Wales. We stayed in the 13th Century Ruthin Castle - so much history in the UK. The occassion was my good Friend Justin and his Mrs Lil's 40th Birthday Party. They were born 2 days apart.....how mad is that? Great company, sumptuous food and lovely Family. Black tie do with all the trimmings. Also took a 3 hour hike onto the hills with Bobby to survey the land. Ahhh what a thrill! Legs are still aching. The Welsh are such nice people as well. Even had time to buy some prime beef from the local butcher which the Mrs & I had for dinner on Sunday....LUSH!
Boone chance with the move to Switzerland and see you Friday Bro! Thanks for an awesome time ......... +
