Friday was quite a surreal day. Felt like I was back in Lagos. I woke up at 5.30am,excited what the day was to bring. Showered, shaved and made my way to Victoria Park Plaza Hotel for 9.15am to register for this Forum hosted by the Lagos local government. Thanks to the UK Trade & Investment I received an invite to this unique event.They were all there , almost on time : Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, Lagos State's inspirational Governor, Mr Opeyemi Bamidele, Commisisioner for Information & Strategy & Mr James Akintola, Secretary of the BFR Forum UK. All accessible and welcoming ..... we're getting closer to the dream now. Thank you God for linking me up so smoothly! We could have organised the Event better ourselves but still felt like I was in a dream shaking hands with the young Governor today who may be the President tomorrow. Change in now happening in Lagos and I shall be involved!!!!Do leave a comment.....thx

Tribal Portraits Preview - Photos From Africa

Great day yesterday .... passed my driving test and finally getting through this miserable cold that's hit us all. Last night I went to an interesting Preview of Tribal Portraits From Africa at B J Shapero's Rare Books Store, 32 Great George Street W1.Wow what a revelation! Great African Photographs were being displayed from 150 years ago.Packed event...sadly not as many Africans as I would have presumed- maybe we did nt know about it. Photos were selling for big tickets as well.From Fierce Warriors to Princesses, Smoking Ladies and Zanzibar Slave Traders.How interesting to see people from East,West,North and South Africa the way they were before the 20th Century began. Especially as some of the shots were taken by Africans.Wonder what they were thinking at the time their spirits were captured in gelitin print. Most amazing to see a 16th Century Ethiopian Bible - maybe the 12th House Of David did leave Egypt and head south after all x

COSMIC CHARITY Ball At The Dorchester Hotel

All praises go to Luc Tomasino, Jodie Friedma, Chairman Dr Parviz Habibi for all your work done for the Charity "Children Of St Mary's Intensive Care" (COSMIC). OnSaturday my dear Wife and I were kindly invited to the Ball Of Balls, at the Dorchester Hotel for the Charity COSMIC. What a great cause helping research and innovation into childhood illnesses. We did our bit for Charity and met some very kind people. The School Choir was most enchanting and the Lion King Cast Dancers were awesome. Thank you Luc and very nice to meet Virginie. Searching For Jimmy Choo

Let me rewind to earlier in the day.I had a quest set me-"Bring me the shoes of Jimmy Choo" - A most memerising Lady I had interviewed in Lagos for the UK Trade & Investments"Export Market Research Scheme" requested I give her a cost for a Fashion show oriented Birthday Party Hosted By non other than the Great Jimmy Choo........in Lagos. So the day after I landed I went to visit Jimmy in his shop to find out if he would be interested in this request. The Lady has employed his services on previous occasions with 6 pairs of shoes to prove this. Show me what you can do for a 1000 Guests Baba...was her request.Even in these adverse times: Thanks to the Developed World's Banks insistance that Developing Countries & their Induividuals be given no credit when making large purchases: many Nigerians, whom have made large cash payments to buys houses and keep sovent, have little or no debts and are now cash rich. What a funny world non? One man's poison is another man's elixir! Or Lady's in this case. Along the way I ran into my Vicar who was hosting the "Turning On Of The Lights" in our local Parish. What wonderful voices x

Buddha Bar For Penne's Birthday & 1st Client Xmas Party

No sooner was I in England was I forced to go out 2 nights in a row. Thursday was my dear Friend and Client Aussie Penne's Bday Party. Which was most deftly organised and placed at Buddha Bar in Waterloo by Daniel Curtis. Good work fella.... met some new potential Clients as well as a good man for Concierge Content. No sooner did the cold hit my bones was I then struck down with the dreaded flu flying around Blighty at the moment!!8 days in Lagos Nigeria strong ...2 days in Londinium - sick. Knocked me out for 4 days....:-( Daniel had to do it all over again at Buddha Bar for our 1st Client Xmas Party on Friday - A Lifestyle Enhancer's job is never done :-)

Rupert Everitt, Yewande Epega, Tara P-T, Naomi Campbell and many others where amongst the illustruos guests. Reckon Miss Kim would work well with the YPO.Mmmm.........x

For many years I have dreamt of doing business in my Mother's Land. But what am I to do? Follow in my Father's footsteps and work in property? Follow the droves of people over the cliff trying to get a contract in oil, gas, cement or something? Nahhhhhhhhhh ......a great woman once told me - stick to what you know Babs and that will make you and yours Stars!
