A Week Of Productivity ,Love & Sleep

Week commencing with the 4th August sees our Pearl return , all brown and glowing ,from a week long Hosting of Friends & Clients in a Villa in Ibiza. All came back alive, well & happy: which is not always the case from this centuries old retreat. Even in August Clients are suddenly enquiring into Autumn and Xmas Parties again. As London Fashion week looms we have an unexpected potential Great Russian Designer approach us to talk about the Launch of his Collection here in 3 weeks. Daunting task ... think this calls for a major brainstorm . Can t wait till Alistair's back from his 2 week Hols in Southern Spain to update him on all that has transpirred in his absence.Still waiting to hear back from the USA Client about their Conference in 2009 ....sometimes you need a stomach of steel ( yeah right) to stay in this game . 8.8.8 Ahhh great to witness one of the most joyous and enchanting Wedding Celebrations of my dear Friend Siu Bun to the delightful Hannah at the Four Seasons Hotel,Park Lane .Great surprise to see she 's with child as well ."May the sun light up their path & the winds push their endeavours forward" Lots of great food , champagne & dancing - oh my knees did ache .Another great Event strarted on that Friday - THE OLYMPICS - China know how to spend money - London we don t have to match the spend : we ll let our style win the day! Let s hope my 2 cherished teams do well - Nigeria in the football and GB in track , swimming ,cycling , hockey and everything else . Good chances this time . RIP to Barnie Mac & Isaac Hayes .......we lost 2 great men this week-end :-(

You won t hear me complaining though :-) . Still Thank God for week-ends . I relaxed by putting on the bry 4 Seabreams a chez moi, lots of cava ,discussions of the New World Order , Gabriel Marquez , Isiah Berlin & Pixar end our Friday eve . Early to rise to catch the bargains at Church Street Market & some flowers for my beau. It was really to catch the awesome Australia vs All Blacks Game - great to see the Kiwis win again: going to go down to the wire. Went to Ascot with my Niece & Mrs for a loved Friend & Client's BBQ in a new Polo Field he has just bought . Rally cars , Hovercrafts , petrol run remote control cars & mini Hummers .....what a dream day. Compliments to the Chef who just happened to be the one & only Daniel Curtis- Great sausages mon frere! Rain did nt spoil the day either. Rain did spoil Sunday's plan to go to Innocent Fete in Regent'S Park so we flipped our strategy and went to the flicks to see WALL- E instead . Ohhhhhhhh ,brought a tear to my eye.Once again Thank God for week-ends ........

A Soiree & Rock The Polo 2008

When the Sun's out UK is the best Country in the World. That 's a fact . Friday was spent at a splendiferous soiree of Canapes & Cava at my Friends Sacha & Eiril 's ( Of " You re beautiful" Fame ) Hse in North London. Great food , great service - thx Ossie , marvellous company & nice touch with the piano , guitars & songs we all enjoyed. Nothing like a sing along with friends at the end of a beautiful night before you head off to Bungalow 8 :-) Saturday was spent clearing out the shed - a job I have avoided for 8 years but thats to Mrs Epega is now done and dusted. Sunday - what can I say ? This year the Cartier Polo was a roaring success with the main game of Australia vs England resulting in the Aussies winning AGAIN. Chinawhite enclosure was brimming full of lovelies , colours , fashion , celebs & excellence . The Westbury put up a fine show too in their enclosure where Estefania , Solomon ,Marijka & I enjoyed a most sumptous lunch. Thanks to Ashley Shaw & Chef Andrew Shaw .This is a BIG THANKS to all our 180 Guests & Clients who came to this great event. They say a picture tells a 1000 stories -well here are 12 that could tell you 12,000. Long live the Polo

Jay Z ,Bungalow 8 & Farnborough Airshow

Friday night I went for a great Birthday Dinner at Hawksmoore Restaurant off Shoreditch ...WoW - The streaks are awesome there .Bloated took the crew to Bungalow 8 ...Buzzing . Jay Z was there with admirers & friends alike.Of course he looks bigger on TV but what a Guy - can t knock him - King Of The Slash/Slash/Slash generation & minted as well. Quite right too .....! Saturday was at 1st a blur but by the time we arrived at the Farnborough Airshow with the earpopping roar of engines that was soon blasted out. What an experience - the A380 looked safer than I previously presumed & much more agile. The Red Arrows were as tight and slick as ever;the stealth bombers as menacing or quiet as ever ; as VIP HOSPITALITY Guests we enjoyed - Thank you FIVE HOSPITALITY for all the love ,food & tour of Bae systems .Great to find out that the Wright Brothers were nt alone in their great success - they were helped by Paul Lawrence Dunbar ( An African American ) .....Yeah! Summising it was quite a Surreal experience: whilst being an Arms dealers paradise ( I sure £100s of millions of deals were handshaken in the week ) , it was also a great day out for the kids save the fumes . Funny what kind of Event one can throw with over £30 million pounds in your budget ...... :-)

Jewel In Crown Of Mayfair

Wow what a fine meal I enjoyed with my beau on Wednesday Night at The Artisan Restaurant .Excellent service , very fine wines & my Scallopps and Lamb were to die for. Simple , stylish & not at extortionate prices - thats the order of the year.
I really do recommend it- Keep winning Chef Andrew Jones .

Cheack it out - www.westburymayfair.com/artisan.html

Artisan is the ultimate destination in Mayfair. With its stunning interior, elegant design and sheer opulence. There is more than one reason to make a beeline for this restaurant. The menu is unpretentious but captures the true talent and passion of the Chef behind its creation. Modern European cuisine 'par excellence', with efficient and well-informed staff. All of which contribute to making it he perfect restaurant to indulge and entertain in.

The menu is uncomplicated and ingredient-driven, counter balancing the sophisticated style of the lavish restaurant, thus creating the perfect combination for the discerning dinner.

Off to Farnborough Air Show tomorrow ..... hope it does nt rain :-)

JasonMraz Gig

Monday night without my Beau (chilling at esvive in ibiza) I received a pleasant call from my Friend Sacha ( Musicial genius & co-writer of many a fine tune including James Blunt's "You re beautiful") saying that a singer called Jason Mraz whom he written a couple of songs for is playing at Sheperd's Bush .Did I want to come to the gig?Does it rain in July ....BIGTIME.Did nt know what to expect. The place was packed & it was only the 1st act ... a lady called Dawn who apparently was a smash at Glastonbury . Pretty kool ...nice click & lush voice. A couple of ciders later in VIP then on he came : Awwwwwesome .A mix between Jack Johnson & Stevie Wonder with a flava flav mix . Crazy I know but what a voice .James Morrison rocked up on stage for a couple of songs as well. Jason Mraz seems to have a good following already - worth buying tickets for his gig at the Albert Hall on 23rd September .Going to be a smash.... www.jasonmraz.com - Check it out !
