London's Best Espresso Martini!
London's Best Espresso Martini
The Espresso Martini has rapidly become one of the capitals favourite tipples. Our hunt for the London's best Espresso Martini has taken us to some incredible places. The emc3 team have worked tirelessly adventuring all around London so we could reveal to you London's finest Espresso Martini.
And you ask why start with Espresso Martini? Well that’s an easy one… London is a fast city that never sleeps and the Espresso Martini provides that essential caffeine kick that is needed to keep up with London life!
After visiting numerous amazing venues and sampling some stunning Espresso Martini's the emc3 team takes great pride in revealing our competition winner:
1st Place: Rockwell Bar at The Trafalgar
Rockwell Bar is wonderfully relaxed and welcoming venue and is one of London’s hidden gems. Previously a bourbon bar Rockwell became famous in the capital for its amazing array of whiskies. But like all of London's best bars Rockwell has adapted to accommodate the cities changing tastes. Now Rockwell is serving some of London’s finest cocktails. Their fantastic team is producing some spectacularly imaginative takes on the classic cocktails that we all know and love. The mixologists attention to detail and flare in designing Rockwell's signature cocktails is simply incredible.
Rockwell Bar’s signature Espresso Martini is something quite different to your classical option. Replacing vodka with both Havana Club White Rum and Gosling Dark Rum enhances the coffee flavour and adds sweet chocolatey notes. Rockwell's addition of a hazelnut syrup produces a beautifully sweet nuttiness. This is then counteracted with a shot of Espresso & a shot of Kahlua. This Espresso Martini is the perfect amalgamation of bitter sweet. The careful selection of premium ingredients marry together in perfect harmony creating what can only be described as London's Best Espresso Martini!
The stunning cocktail is garnished with a hazelnut flavoured foam which is then toasted to produce a marvellously playful fluffy marshmallow topping. This Espresso Martini is served with a dark chocolate spoon and finished off with the traditional 3 coffee beans.
Who doesn't love a chocolate spoon?
Rockwell Bar’s signature Espresso Martini has everything; incredible flavour, contrasting textures and really embodies Rockwell's creative flare. Rockwell Bar's Head Bartender Andre Costa is a magician turning something simple into something exceptional. Next time you are in London it is of paramount importance that you that you visit the Trafalgar & sample London's Best Espresso Martini!

emc3 Team Building - 19th March 2015
Song Division
Have you ever wondered what it would be
like if you and your friends and co-workers formed a band?
The emc3 team departed the office last
Thursday for a surprise team building activity. The rumours of a surprise voice
coaching session had left many of the team sceptical.
The team arrived at the venue where we were
greeted by live music and handed several drinks tokens – not the usual
accompaniment for voice coaching you ask?
We were then informed that we had entered
Song Division! The team was split into two bands and given the task to write
our own song. We were given a theme to base our piece on – A creepy love song.
First off we were tasked with devising our
all-important band names.
·
The first band: Al’s Angels – A
band exhibiting a devilish mixture of beauty and class.
·
The second: R&B – A band
boasting equal measures of lyrical madness and genius.
As the bands went their separate ways to
brainstorm their lyrics, emc3’s musical talent shone through (despite there
being some artistical differences along the way!) We worked with accomplished
musicians who directed us as we created our musical masterpieces. After an hour
of writing and rehearsing it was time to do battle – Song battle!
When it came to the final sing-off each
band graced the stage – The same people that had entered the Song Division mere
mortals had emerged the other side true rock stars! The performances were as
unique as they were inspired, there was even some rapping involved! After the
judge’s scores had been tallied, it was confirmed that emc3 had come in first
place and won the competition.
The emc3 team walked away with an inner
found funk and the highly coveted Song Slam Gold Vinyl – The trophy of choice
which now takes pride of place in our office!
It was a successful day at emc3 filled with
singing, laughing, good food and good people. Stay tuned for our upcoming album
featuring our number one hit “I Love Her, I Love Her”. The Song Division is a
fantastic team building experience which we would highly recommend to all!

Wow weee!
What a year of adventure it has been. 12 trips between London & Lagos via Abuja, Dubai, Ibiza, Monaco, Sharm El-Sheik, Paris, Amsterdam, the Sahara Desert and Essex has been tough but progressive.
Since we officially opened an emc3 branch in Lagos Nigeria in January 2014 we have witnessed Ebola scares & controls, onslaught from Boko Haram, deluge of the Raining Season, Harmattan hazes, Lagos Motor Boat Club suyas, Beach club parties, triumphant Conferences, sublime Events, The Richard Coker Foundation benevolence, Vice-Presidential meetings, World Economic Forum dealings, Ministry of Power inspirations, corridors of power waiting, abject poverty denial in Makoko village, Euro tunnel delays, 3 Weddings, 2 funerals, many Bar Mitzvahs, numerous Alleluias in Cathedrals, the Ibadan Expressway gauntlet, beautiful Benin Wedding and dodgy roads, 8 shuttle flights to the Federal Capital Territory , postponements of General Elections and falling down an uncovered manhole whilst jogging at 6am!
What has truly endeared me to my nation of birth in the last year is that against all odds; the tenacity of the people prevails; the sense of humour in the face of adversity is inspiring, the beauty & abundance of our land is self evident as is the joy of being in the warmth of the Sun.
The Art, Fashion, Music, Film, Cultural & Development Law revolution is alive and kicking!
What is next for our great nation only God knows but one thing for sure we live in the modern day wild west and we are geared up for a Cultural Renaissance come hell or high waters.
We are on ground and are here to stay!

emc3's evening at ME Hotel
STK at ME Hotel
On Thursday last week the emc3 team were treated to what was
a fantastic evening by the ME Hotel, London. Having recently organised the
LinkedIn Sales Connect event at the venue and often taking clients for site
visits we already had knowledge of the modern and versatile event spaces which
can seat up 260 delegates. Therefore as soon as we arrived we were taken
straight up to the rooftop Radio Bar, where we were greeted by the ME Hotel
events team and welcomed with Champagne. It is not often that pretty much the
entire emc3 team are able to come together for evenings out in London, so it
was great to be together whilst taking some time out from all the hard work
that goes on in the office.
The Radio Bar is located on the 10th
floor of the ME Hotel and is accessible from
an exclusive express lift. What makes the bar so unique is that it is the only
rooftop bar, lounge and terrace on The Strand so you are confronted with
stunning views of the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, London Bridge, Covent
Garden and St Pauls Cathedral. Not only is the bar modern and buzzing with
atmosphere on any night of the week, it can also be taken over exclusively for
events which is where we hosted the after party for the Sales Connect conference
this year.
Once
we finished our drinks in the bar, we were then taken down to the ground floor
to STK. As soon as you open the door the welcomed by friendly staff and what
really stands out is the elegant décor. STK notably blends two concepts into
one; the modern steakhouse and a chic lounge. The main feature of the space is
the central lounge area which is beautifully furnished and then surrounded by
an elevated dining room. We were lucky enough to be taken straight to sit down
in the Private Dining room which can sit up to 28 guests so it is a great space
for an exclusive dinner whether it’s for business or celebrations!
Throughout the
evening both the food and drink was to perfection. The cocktails were delicious
and flowing amongst the team so we felt extremely spoilt even before any food
was put on the table. As the starter we enjoyed the seared scallops and the
signature Lil BRGs (which I would highly recommend if you are ever to go)! As
for the main almost all of the team the chose to enjoy the main attraction to
the restaurant which is the steak. This was done to every individuals liking
and then accompanied with any topping or sauce of our choice. The ME hotel then
organised for this to come with other signature STK dishes such as parmesan
truffle fries, fresh greens and lobster mac and cheese. All of the food was
absolutely delicious and when we thought that we didn’t have any room left we
were presented with the ‘Fairground attraction’ desert which was the most
visually pleasing dessert I have ever had! This was a combination of mini ice
cream, a hot chocolate drink, candy floss, marshmallows and doughnuts! See
below an image of this colourful and delicious wheel of treats.
What really makes STK unique is the fact
that there throughout the evening there is a DJ performing, creating an
atmosphere which is charged with energy which would appeal to all ages and
personalities. Another thing that we also learnt during our visit is that STK
was the first steak restaurant that aimed to attract females, and with emc3
being a heavily female team this definitely showed. Although both our directors,
Dan and Al, also said they thought both the food and atmosphere was superb so whether
it is dinner with the family, friends or business colleagues you are bound to
have a night to remember at STK!
Emc3 would like to
say a HUGE thank you to ME London for treating us to such a lovely evening. For
any enquires at the ME Hotel whether it is for conferences, exclusive
dinner/parties or a private dining room please don’t hesitate to give us a call
on 02034683901.

iPILOT experience
emc3’s Imogen, Kylie, Anita
and Aisha had the pleasure of visiting the iPILOT experience at Westfield’s London. iPILOT is a
fantastic flight simulator experience that gives you the opportunity to take
off from a choice of 24,000 airports and sail through the skies under the guidance
of a real pilot. Stepping into the enclosed cockpit, the surroundings are so
realistic that professional pilots actually train in them. For more info please see the iPILOT website: www.flyipilot.co.uk

Site Visit - Shangri La, The Shard
The Shangri-La in London is not
only the hotels first property in the UK, but is also housed in the tallest and
most iconic building, The Shard. Not long after it opened, the EMC3 team were
given the exciting opportunity to visit the hotel to see how we could use the
spaces for future events.
